The same is true in future generations: I can always see how many cards my opponent chooses and which ones they discard before making my choice.

well because of the other bug, I remove the "draft" for first 10 cards, so it a bit moot point now, since you will see corp instantly as soon as its picked and no other cards are drafted

We are actually seeing other corporations prior to choosing our cards to buy instead of it all being hidden until all pick.

I found these rules:

6. Players select 1 of the 2 corporations dealt to them and 0-10 project cards to
keep in their starting hand (each project card costs 3 MC to keep).

7. In turn order, starting with the first player, each player first reveals and plays
their corporation card, triggers any immediate corporation effects and gains all
associated resources and/or production, pays for their starting cards (3 MC per
card, 5 MC for Polyphemos and 1 MC for Terralabs), discards unselected project
cards facedown in the discard pile, and returns unselected corporations to the
box before the remaining players do the same one by one.

I will reimplement the setup to closely follow this instead of current mess

When you say that you "found these rules"... are you somehow /not/ implementing this game based off of the rulebook?

I ask because the rules that you quoted, while /effectively/ correct, don't reflect the /actual/ wording from the rulebook.

To support my claim, I'll copy and paste below the relevant rules from the Setup section on p.7 of the rulebook:

5) Deal cards: Players new to Terraforming Mars each get a Beginner Corporation card, while the other players are now dealt 2 normal corporations and 10 project cards.

6) Choose cards: A Beginner Corporation gets to keep all their cards for free, while the other players now simultaneusly [sic] choose which corporation to play, and what project cards to keep in their starting hand. (Each card you keep will cost 3 M€ from the corporation you choose.)

7) Starting conditions: In player order, each player reveal which corporation they will play, get any starting resources and production stated on the corporation card, pay for the cards they keep. Each card costs 3 M€...

I just stumbled across this, too. I saw the choosen company of the first player already when selecting my company. This is information I shouldn't have while choosing my corporation.

Clearly, Victoria_La found the quoted text in either the rules coming with some extension (Polyphemos and Terralabs are not part of the original game) or in some edition past the original.

At any rate, while this free info is strictly speaking an error, it is IMHO not significant enough (on its own) to delay moving to Beta. An example of a significant bug would be 105074 (even though F5 cures that one).

Very nice! This is a great improvement.
The only thing I still see during setup (while not all players have made their choices) is the number of starting cards:

The rework of the setup is very nice! Works a lot smoother as well.
I don't see how the number of cards is an issue. When sitting at an actual table you can also see how many cards someone is selecting right?

Vyriešil sa problém pomocou F5?
Objavil sa problém viackrát? Zakaždým? Náhodne?
