I reported this as a game bug for Rallyman: GT, but exploring it suggests it's just unclear UI/UX, so reporting it here.
Of two similar looking options in Game Speed for No Time Limit, the upper starts a Real Time game (understanding that the game will be real time is assumed by the interface, it isn't explicit at least until the game has been joined and started), and the interface offers info on selection of that option that there is a turn time limit of 30 days, but it is assumed the user understands that the game will be abandoned if players are inactive/offline (still not worked out the site's precise behaviour).
To avoid annoying users unfamiliar with the fine details of the BGA game engine's mechanics, it would help to make these things clear with the upper option. Personally I can't see the need for this unlimited real time mode, but if it is, it's description could have - Real Time at the start of the option as the others do, and modify the text that appears below to read that games will be abandoned if players are offline for more than 3h, or whatever the actual condition is that triggers automatic game abandonment. -
