First impression - The game is great! This is one of my daughter's favorites and it gets played all the time at our house.
I ran through a few 3-player games (pseudo real-time) with family. Here are my initial comments:
- If you change your mind on your bid before everyone has submitted theirs, you should be able to simply click on the new donut or bid card without pressing Remote Bid first. The remove bid is fine as an Undo, but I should be able to quickly click a different donut. See 6 nimmit! as an example.
- Recommend splaying the donut cards in front of each player instead of putting a number on them when there are multiple cards. Just down and to the right a little bit. The game moves fast when at real-time and it is much easier to quickly tell a player has 3 jelly-filled already when scrolling down if they are splayed out.
- When selecting a target player, in addition to the buttons at the top with their name on it, it would be nice to be able to select their player board (the box with their name and score) or by clicking on their table of donuts. So if I scroll down to see who I want to give it to, I would be able to just click on that display.
- I noticed that when another player was making a decision, I didn't always have a message at the top telling me what was happening. In a real-time game it is really quick and probably not an issue, but I could see it causing an issue in turn-based. What is the game waiting for? I noticed this on Double Chocolate when the player was selecting between the two cards, and on red velvet when the player was selecting a card from the discard pile.
- Recommend adding a button that when pressed displays the "Donut Guide" from the manual on the screen. Similar to Kingdomino that has a button to display the a tile guide.
- There may be an issue with the scoring. One moment the scores were 11,11,10 and then after the very next round I noticed it was 24,20.16. That got me trying to pay attention to the scoring, but it is hard in a psuedo-realtime game. At the end of our last game I manually calculated the scores and they all seemed fine. I'll try and watch this more.
Overall, I think this game is nearly ready for Beta. I'm going to try and get a larger player count game going with some friends. I think this game will get a lot of usage on BGA. Awesome work. -

Though I did notice that if the window shrinks, it doesn't shrink the cards. Instead it overlaps and becomes messy. And the it should move the player boards to the top based on minWidth setting. See screenshot:
