(it's difficult to reply to this report as this issue can be a consequence of many different bugs in the code)
about the latest comment: the issue seem to have been caused by an "extreme" maneuver for which the car has both crossed the lap line and passed the curve in the same turn, which the game doesn't always handle well. in fact, the game still thinks you have to pass the first curve, as it's the one highlighted. i will look at the replay once i can access it to find more clues.
btw, looking at the current game state, how were you able to overcome the invisible wall?

Clicking Emergency break made me downshift from gear 4 to 2, that had available spaces before the wall

This also happened to me on table boardgamearena.com/table?table=386101263 . You can see the problem if you replay the game, and screenshots are here: imgur.com/a/jvgZ5yc . The game seemed to be confused about my location on the track. At move 199, it said I was in 5th place, when I was actually in 3rd place. At move 215, it forced me to emergency brake, even though I should have had legal moves available. It gave me the error, "You cannot pass a curve from behind." At move 218, it correctly lists me in 3rd place, but at move 227, it again blocks me from making legal moves. After that, everything was OK.
