After the game the number needed to get the last place to 5 is added to all players and extra points are scored for finishing ahead of someone who is higher in the standings (3 points for winning and a higher rank coming in last, 2 points for being 2 spots ahead of them, 1 point for finishing just about them.)
Ties go to the person who reached the total first.
